Phrase - meaningful group of words linked
Clause - meaningful group of words containing a verb
Main clause - clause that can stand on its own
Subordinate clause - cannot stand on its own
Sentence - containing more that one clause
Vowels - a/e/i/o/u
Consonants - any other letter
Verb - doing word
Infinitive form - version found in dictionary
Finitive form - version altered by a tense
Tense - relates verb to timeframe
Noun - a person, name, concept, animal, or thing
Pronoun - stands in place of noun (he/she/it)
